Welcome to OptiPDF – Smart PDF Toolkit. Your privacy is critically important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we handle, why, and how we use it.
This policy applies to the OptiPDF – Smart PDF Toolkit mobile application (the "App") provided by FutureTek Apps (referred to as "we", "us", or "our").
The most important thing to know about OptiPDF is that we respect your privacy and the confidentiality of your documents.
To provide its features, the App stores certain information locally on your device only. None of this data is transmitted to us or any third party.
To provide and improve our services, and to keep the App free, we use industry-standard third-party services that collect a limited amount of anonymous or pseudonymous data. This is essential for showing relevant ads and fixing bugs.
What they do: We use Google AdMob as our primary advertising service, which includes a feature called AdMob Mediation. Mediation allows us to work with other ad networks to show the most relevant and highest-quality ads. Our current mediation partners include ironSource (from Unity), Unity Ads, and InMobi.
Data Collected: These services may collect device identifiers (like the Google Advertising ID), IP address, device information (such as language and model), and other technical data to serve relevant ads, to measure ad performance, and to prevent fraud.
Their Privacy Policies: We encourage you to review the privacy policies of our advertising partners to understand how they handle your data:
Opt-Out: You can manage your ad preferences and opt out of personalized advertising through your device's main settings (usually under Google → Ads).
What it does: To comply with regional advertising rules and privacy regulations, the App determines your approximate country (for example, from your device's SIM/network country code or device language settings). This is an on-device, country-level check only.
Important: The App does not request or use precise GPS/location permissions, and it does not track your location. Only a coarse country indication is used, and it is not shared with us or stored on our servers.
What it does: We use Firebase to understand how our App is used and to fix crashes quickly.
Firebase Analytics: This service collects anonymous usage data, such as which features are used most often. This helps us improve the App. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
Firebase Crashlytics: If the App crashes, this service sends us an anonymous crash report with technical information about the crash. This is essential for us to find and fix bugs. It does not collect any of your personal data or file content.
Firebase Remote Config: We use Remote Config to adjust app settings (such as which features or ads are enabled) without requiring an update. It downloads configuration values to your device and does not collect your personal data.
What it does: The App offers an optional one-time in-app purchase to remove ads. Purchases are processed entirely by Google Play Billing.
Data handling: We do not collect, see, or store your payment details (such as card numbers). Google processes the payment and provides the App only with your purchase/entitlement status so we can unlock the ad-free experience on your device. Your handling of payment information is governed by
Google's Privacy Policy.
What it does: The "Scan" feature uses Google's on-device machine learning kit to provide high-quality scanning functionality. According to Google's policy, this data is processed on-device and is not sent to Google's servers.
As all file processing and personal data storage (such as the "My Documents" list and saved signatures) occur locally on your device, the security of your documents is handled by your device's operating system. We do not transmit or store your files, signatures, or document lists. We do not share your personal information with companies, organizations, or individuals, except for the limited, anonymous data used by our third-party service providers (Google, ironSource / Unity, InMobi) as described above.
If you are a user in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, we are required to obtain your consent for the collection of data for personalized advertising. We use Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to manage this consent process. You can change your consent choices at any time through the app's settings.
Our service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the app's "About" section. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
